Bright “For you” card with custom background

Hello everyone! Today I am back with a really bright and colorful card, which I designed for the card challenge at the Dani Peuss website and blog. Lately I have been playing with my new Spectrum Noir markers and I really enjoy the coloring process, I find it really soothing. So I decided to make my own custom background using one of the cupcakes from the Lawn Fawn “Baked with Love” stamp set. I inked up the stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and repeatedly stamped the image on a 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ piece of white cardstock. I wanted to have rows of different colors, and within each row I tried to change the orientation of the stamp in order to add more variation to the pattern. I then went ahead and colored each row following the rainbow order. These are the colors I used:
Row 1: CR11 and CR10
Row 2: CR10, OR1 and GB5
Row 3: GB5, CT1 and CT3
Row 4: CG2 and CG1
Row 5: BT5 and BT4
Row 6: PL4 and PL2
Row 7: LV 3 and LV2
For the base of the cupcakes I tried to stick to neutral colors, and I used BG1 and BG2. I also outlined all of the cupcakes using IG1 and blended it out with the colorless blender.
I cut a 1 1/2″ wide strip of white card stock which I embossed using my Darice “Stars” embossing folder. Because I wanted to frame the front panel I also trimmed 1/8″ from each side of my card front. Using a circular die and my Big Shot I cut out a circle from some white cardstock and stamped the “for you” sentiment and the little hearth from the “Love you a Latte” stamp set, also by Lawn Fawn.
I took a piece of turquoise cardstock and ,using a scalloped circle punch and the same circle die as before, I created a frame for the sentiment panel. I then went ahead and adhered everything using white glue, except for sentiment panel, for which I wanted use foam tape. To make things easier I used a scalloped circle cut out from white cardstock as a support for the sentiment panel. I adhered that to the card front with foam tape and I used white glue to glue the circle with the sentiment and the scalloped frame to the support panel.
And that’s it for today’s card! I really enjoyed coloring all the little cupcakes…You will definitely see more cards with custom made backgrounds in the near future, because I have really a lot of fun creating them! Have a great day and bye-bye for now! 🙂

CARD “FOR YOU” COLORATISSIMA CON SFONDO PERSONALIZZATO

Ciao a tutti! Eccomi di nuovo qui con una card allegra e colorata, che ho creato per la challenge sul sito di Dani Peuss. Ultimamente mi sto divertendo molto a sperimentare con i miei nuovi pennarelli Spectrum Noir e mi rilasso davvero molto quando coloro. Così ho deciso di realizzare uno sfondo personalizzato utilizzando uno dei cupcake del set di timbri “Baked with Love ” di Lawn Fawn.  Utilizzando il tampone Memento in Tuxedo Black ho inchiostrato il cupcake e stampato ripetutamente l’immagine su un  pezzo di cartoncino bianco in formato A6. L’idea era quella di avere delle file di cupcake di diversi colori, secondo l’ordine dei colori dell’arcobaleno. All’interno di ciascuna fila ho timbrato l’immagine cercando di ruotarla leggermente in diverse direzioni, in modo da rendere lo sfondo più dinamico. Questi sono i colori che ho utilizzato:
Riga 1: CR11 e CR10
Riga 2: CR10, OR1 e GB5
Riga 3: GB5, CT1 e CT3
Riga 4: CG2 e CG1
Riga 5: BT5 e BT4
Riga 6: PL4 e PL2
Riga 7: LV 3 e LV2
Per la base dei cupcake ho scelto dei colori neutri, e ho usato BG1 e BG2. Ho anche delineato tutti i dolcetti utilizzando il colore IG1 e sfumato con il colorless blender.
Ho tagliato una striscia di cartoncino bianco larga poco meno di 4 cm, e ho realizzato l’effetto a rilievo utilizzando una cartella per l’embossing a freddo di Darice.  Inoltre ho rifilato circa 3 mm da ogni lato dello sfondo della mia card perché volevo lasciare dello spazio bianco ai lati dello sfondo stesso. Utilizzando una fustella circolare e la mia Big Shot ho ricavato un cerchio da del cartoncino bianco e stampato il messaggio “for you” e il cuoricino dal set “Love you a Latte”, sempre di Lawn Fawn.
Ho tagliato del cartoncino della stessa tonalità dei cupcake turchesi, e, utilizzando una fusteallatrice a mano e la stessa fustella circolare di prima, ho creato una cornice per il cerchio con il messaggio. Ho incollato i vari elementi utilizzando della colla vinilica, eccezion fatta per il pannello contentente la scritta “for you”, per il quale ho scelto di utilizzare del nastro biadesivo in schiuma. Per rendere le cose più semplici ho creato un pannello di supporto ricavando un cerchio smerlato da del cartoncino bianco con la fustellatrice a mano. Ho incollato il supporto alla card usando il nastro in schiuma, e fatto aderire il cerchio con il messaggio e la cornice smerlata al supporto con della colla vinilica.
