Hello everyone! I am back with another fun and colorful card using Lawn Fawn stamps! The inspiration came from the current Wednesday challenge at the Simon Says Stamp blog and from the Color Throwdown challenge. 
The card front is a squared piece of cardstock which measures 4×4″. I created my custom background using my Gansai Tambi watercolors on a piece of Canson watercolor cardstock. I layed down several layers of different tones of blue and aqua which I also splattered here and there to create some interest. The images come from the You Octopi My Hearth and the Mermaid For You stamp sets, and were colored with Spectrum noir alcohol markers. For the white panel I used a scalloped square and a circle die by Sizzix, and I created a window by taping a piece of acetate on the back of the panel. I glued everything in place using double sided tape, and, before adhering the card front to the base I coated its back with foam tape for some extra dimension. As a very final touch I covered the octopus, the little seahorse and the star with some glitter using my Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen.
And that’s my card! I really like the color combination for this week’s color throwdown challenge, and I think that it fits very nicely with the theme of this card. 🙂
Here is another image where you don’t see as much the glare effect of the acetate sheet, and the watercolor background is more visible. I love, love, love creating my own watercolor backgrounds!

CARD COLORATA CON TIMBRI LAWN FAWN
Ciao a tutti! Oggi vi propongo una nuova card, ispirata alla Wednesday challenge sul blog di Simon Says Stamp e alla Color Throwdown challenge di questa settimana.
La base della card è composta da del cartoncino arancione tagliato alla misura di 4×4″. Ho realizzato uno sfondo personalizzato con i miei acquarelli Gansai Tambi sovrapponendo strati di diverse tonalità di blu e di verde acqua. Per finire ho aggiunto degli schizzi in modo da rendere lo sfondo più dinamico. I timbri utilizzati per questa card appartengono ai set You Octopi My Hearth e Mermaid For You di Lawn Fawn, e le immagini stampate sono state colorate con pennarelli Spectrum Noir. Per il pannello bianco ho utilizzato delle fustelle Sizzix, e per l’effetto finestra ho attaccato un foglio di acetato sul retro del pannello. Ho assemblato i vari elementi e ho ricoperto la parte posteriore del cartoncino arancione con del nastro in schiuma biadesivo prima di farlo aderire alla base della card. Come tocco finale ho ricoperto le immagini con del glitter grazie alla mia penna Spectrum Noir nel finish clear sparkle.
E questo è tutto! I colori scelti per questa edizione della Color Throwdown Challenge mi sono piaciuti molto, e trovo che si adattino bene al tema di questa card. Nella seconda immagine i riflessi sul foglio di acetato si notano a malapena, ed è possibile vedere meglio lo sfondo. Adoro creare sfondi personalizzati con gli acquerelli!
