Hello everyone! Here I am, back with another super adorable card, this time for the card making challenge at the Daniela Peuss website. The theme for the challenge is dots, so I immediately thought about this fun patterned paper from My Favorite Things. The polka dots and the bright colors made me think about a birthday party, so I stamped and colored my own!
The card layout is pretty simple, the two patterned papers belong to the MFT Sweet Celebrations 6×6″ pad, and the strip in the middle is simple black cardstock. The images belong to the sets Beary Special Birthday, Hog Heaven and Adorable Elephants, all by My Favorite things. To color them in I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers, and I die cut them using the coordinating dies. The sentiment, also from the Adorable Elephants set, is heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock, and all the elements are glued to the base of the card with white glue. To round the corners I used my brand new Corner Chomper by WeR Memory Keepers – yay for happy mail! And that’s it – a fun birthday party on a card! ^_^
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
