Sweet birthday card with free digital image by Yampuff – Prismacolor on Kraft cardstock

Hello everyone! Today I am back with a quick post and a super sweet birthday card I made using a free digital image by the incredibly talented YamPuff! Her DeviantArt page is full of beautiful lineart available for coloring. I think that many of the images in her gallery are perfect for cardmaking, and using them on our cards is a great way to practice our coloring skills!

For today’s card I decided to use Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and Prismacolor pencils, because I think that together they produce really stunning results! I knew there was going to be be plenty of light shades in my coloring, and I thought that the kraft cardstock would really make them pop! I debated whether to coat the pony with some glitter, but I decided not to risk it after all that coloring, as I was a little concerned that it would clash with the soft and slightly muted look of the card. 

The sentiment comes from the Lawn Fawn Baked with Love set, and is just perfect for this image! To finish off the card I added some bakers twine in white and pink, and I mounted the front panel on a white A2 card base.

CARD DI COMPLEANNO CON IMMAGINE DIGITALE GRATUITA DI YAMPUFF –  PRISMACOLOR SU CARTONCINO KRAFT

Ciao a tutti! Oggi sono di nuovo sul blog con un post veloce e una card di compleanno dolcissima, che ho realizzato utilizzando un’immagine digitale gratuita, disegnata dalla bravissima YamPuff! La sua pagina su DeviantArt è piena di disegni meravigliosi, disponibili per il download. Penso che la maggior parte di queste immagini siano perfette per il cardmaking, e sono anche un’ottima opportunità per esercitarsi nel colorare! 

Per questa card ho deciso di utilizzare le matite colorate Prismacolor e il cartoncino Neenah Desert Storm, perché penso che insieme producano dei risultati davvero incredibili! Sapevo di voler utilizzare delle tonalità chiare per la card, e il cartoncino kraft è la base perfetta per metterle in risalto! Dopo aver colorato l’immagine, ho valutato se aggiungere del glitter sul pony, ma non me la sono sentita dopo tutto quel lavoro, perché temevo che si sarebbe sposato male con il look soft della card. Il messaggio proviene dal set Baked with Love di Lawn Fawn, ed è semplicemente perfetto per questa immagine! Come tocco finale ho aggiunto del cordoncino bianco e rosa, e ho incollato il pannello frontale alla base della card, che misura 4 1/4″ per 5 1/2″.
