Hello everyone! It’s finally time for a new release by Craftin Desert Divas, and today I am sharing a card I made with stamps from the new Wild West set, which will be available in the CDD shop on Friday 23.06, 3 pm EST. I just love the sweet little images on this set, there are so many ways in which you can use them!
For today’s card I decided to go for a shaker card a more masculine feel. I colored the raccoon and all the little images that went in the shaker using my Spectrum Noir markers. I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut all the star badges, the lassos and the horshoes. For my background I used Distress Inks in Faded Jeans and Vintage photo, which I blended on two separate sheets of Canson Watercolor cardstock using my Ranger mini blender. I also spritzed the card front with water and quickly dabbed off the excess with a paper towel for some added interest. To get a more cohesive look I sponged the edges of my shaker elements with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and I think this really made everything work very nicely together!
I then created my shaker window, covered it with some acetate, and added my shaker elements. I backed my shaker front with some foam tape (make sure you double it so that your elements have enough room to shake), and I adhered it to my card base. I chose to use the Howdy Partner sentiment, because I thought that pairing it with the image of the raccoon riding the broomstick made the card even cuter! To finish off I created a fish tail on my sentiment banner and sponged the edges with Distress Ink in Vintage Phote before adhering it to my card.

RELEASE DI GIUGNO CRAFTIN DESERT DIVAS: SHAKER CARD FEAT WILD WEST SET
Ciao a tutti! È quasi arrivato il momento per l’uscita dei nuovi timbri Craftin Desert Divas, e oggi voglio mostrarvi una card che ho realizzato con gli stampi del set Wild West, che sarà disponibile nel negozio online di Craftin Desert Divas a partire da venerdì 23.06, 15:00 EST. Adoro tutte le immagini di questo set, e adoro il fatto che possono essere combinate in tantissimi modi!
Per la card di oggi ho deciso di creare uno shaker con un look maschile. Ho colorato tutte le immagini con i miei pennarelli Spectrum Noir, e ho utilizzato la mia Silhouette Portrait per tagliare le stelline, i cappi, e i ferri di cavallo. Per lo sfondo ho utilizzato Distress Ink in Faded Jeans e Vintage Photo, che ho applicato su due diversi fogli di cartoncino da acquerelli Canson XL utilizzando il mio mini blender di Ranger. Ho anche spruzzato dell’acqua sul pannello frontale della mia card e ho rimosso l’eccesso con un foglio di carta da cucina per rendere il tutto più interessante. Per legare insieme i vari elementi ho aggiunto un tocco di Distress Ink in Vintage Photo ai bordi delle immagini che dello shaker, e penso che questo tocco abbia reso il tutto ancora più speciale!
Ho poi creato la finestra del mio shaker, l’ho ricoperta con dell’acetato e ho aggiunto le gli elementi dello shaker stesso. Ho ricoperto il retro del pannello frontale con della nostro in schiuma biadesivo (assicuratevi di aggiungere due strati di nastro in modo che gli elementi del vostro shaker abbiano abbastanza spazio per muoversi), e l’ho incollato alla base della mia card. Per il messaggio ho scelto la frase “Howdy Partner”, perché ho pensato che in combinazione con l’immagine del piccolo procione che cavalca la scopa rendesse la card ancora più tenera! Ho infine creato un banner per il messaggio, e ne ho invecchiato i bordi con del Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.
