Hello everyone! My last post for this weekend, featuring the Western Bandits stamp set from the new Craftin Desert Divas release.
The card actually includes images from the both the Western Bandits and the Wild West sets: I really love mixing images from different stamp sets, and these two are practically made to work together! The lizard, that sentiment and the little bunny belong to the Western Bandit set, wherais the cacti and the little snake are part of the Wild West stamp set.
I colored my images using my Spectrum Noir markers, and I created my background using Distress Inks. For the background panel I used Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy, and for the frame with the banditI used Tea Dye and Stormy Sky. I also lightly sponged some Antique Linen on the images of the bandit and the cacti to give them a little bit a more cohesive look with the rest of the card.
For my card base I used a sheet of Studio Light patterned paper with a nice woodgrain detail because I I thought it would add even more to the western feel of the card. I sponged it with some Distress Ink in Antique Linen to tie it with the rest of the card.
I then attached all the images in place, and I moved on to my sentiment. For the “Hold up” sentiment I used some Neenah Solar White cardstock, which I sponged with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy, and then tore and rolled up with my hands. For the “It’s your birthday” part of the sentiment I used a strip of the same woodgrain patterned paper and I inked it with my Distress Ink in Antique Linen. I also cut a rectangle around my sentiment and I used my spectrum noir markers and a brown Prismacolor pencil to give it the look of wood plank. When I was satisfied with the overall look of the banners I adhered them to my cart front.
And that’s it for today’s post! I really hope you liked my card and you enjoyed this week full of fun projects with stamps from the new Craftin Desert Divas release! I surely had loads of fun creating all these cards!
I will be back real soon with another nice project, and in the meantime I wish you all a great day! Ciaooo!
