How to Create a Dimensional Scene on your Card feat Craftin Desert Divas Get Wild Stamp Set

Hello everyone! The Craftin Desert Divas August release is finally available for purchase in the CDD shop, and I today I wanted to show you some more inspiration using the super adorable Get Wild stamp set!

For this card I pretty much used all the images in the set: I stamped them on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them using Spectrum Noir markers, trying to stick neutrals and more muted tones. I used Distress Inks and several dies from Craftin Desert Divas to create all the scene elements. 

The palm trees are part of the Island die set, the tall grass border is part of the Outdoor Landscape Dies, and the shorter grass border belongs to the Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies. I cut all my elements from some Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and I used the following Distress ink colors for the different elements:

Front Grass Layer: Frayed Burlap, Old Paper

Middle Grass Layer: Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap

Back Grass Layer: Forest Moss, Peeled Paint.

I blended the inks using my Ranger mini ink blender, using the darker shades on the lower part of my layers, and the lighter shades on the higher part.

For the sky I used Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmelade and Mustard Seeds to create a deep, rich sunset, and I assembled all the pieces together. I wanted to create lots of dimension on this card, so I used fun foam to create many different layers. The foremost grassy panel is mounted on three layers of foam, the middle on on two layers, and the one in the back on one layer. I also used one layer of foam on the second and third palm on the background to create a more dynamic look. The gorilla is adhered flush to the background, and the lion is glued in front of one of the palms and is supported with one layer of fun foam.

The tiger is raised with respect to the third grass layer with some fun foam, and so is the girl with respect to the second grass layer. The buffalo, the rhino, the turtle and the boy are all adhered flush to the panels they are standing on. 

Finally, the parrot is glued to one of the palms with one layer of foam tape. 

Because the card front is quite busy, I decided to add my sentiment to the inside of the card, and I used one more image to decorate it.
