Hello everyone! Today I am back with a fun birthday card inspired by the August mood board challenge over at the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery group on Facebook. I really love this month’s mood board, it’s so bright and cheerful! But now it’s time to have a look at how I created this card 🙂
To start off, I stamped some of the images from the Craftin Desert Divas Yeti to Party stamp set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored everything using my Spectrum Noir markers, trying to stick to the color scheme of the mood board. I also used my white gel pen to add some details to all the images.
I then used the largest die in the Fancy Frame Dies set to cut some heavyweight white cardstock and create my scalloped front panel. I then took one the patterned paper sheets from the Doodlebug Hello Sunshine 6×6 paper pad, and I trimmed it to be just slightly larger than my scalloped panel. I then adhered everything to a white A2 card base using Tombow Mono Multi glue.
I heat-embossed my sentiment on some black cardstock using Ranger white embossing powder, cut a banner around it, and glued it to my card. For a finishing touch I added some sequins from the Craftin Desert Divas Sunny Days sequin mix.
And that’s it for today’s card! It was quite fast to put together, and I really like how it turned out!
