Holiday 2017 Cardmaking Series – Sweet Scene Card feat MFT Our Story

Hello everyone! Today I am back with another card and video for my Holiday 2017 Card Making Series on YouTube. For this sweet card I decided to combine the MFT Our Story, Happy Pawlidays and Santa’s Elves stamp sets. 

As a first step, I stamped my images on some Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut them all out using the coordinating dies or my Cutterbee scissor, depending on whether I actually had the cooridating dies themselves. For the background of my scene I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber on some Canson XL watercolor cardstock. To cut the panel to a standard A2 size I used a die from the Studio Katia Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames set. I added some water droplets and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel.

For the floor I used one of the papers in the Lawn Fawn knock on wood 6×6” paper pad. 

I glued all the elements in place with some liquid glue, and I then stamped the sentiment, from the Our Story stamp set, using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

For a finishing touch I added some glitter with a Spectrum Noir clear overlay pen, and some Nuvo Drops in clear glitter around the sentiment.

To finish off the inside of my card I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the MFT Merry Christmas Greetings stamp set with Memento ink in Love Letter. I also initially stamped the pile of presents that I also have on the card front with the same red ink, but I ended up changing my mind. So I stamped it again on some Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink, colored it with the same colors I used for the card front, and adhered it on top of the stamped image on the inside of my card.
