Valentine's Day 2018 Card Series – In the Clouds Scene feat C.C. Designs

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a cute Valentine’s day card featuring the adorable C.C. Designs Roberto’s Rascals Cupids! These digis are incredibly cute, and I hade loads of fun putting this card together! I also created a video tutorial for this card, you will find it at the end of this post 🙂 But for now let’s go through the card making process. 
For the clouds and the sky I used Bristol Smooth cardstock by Fabriano. This is very similar to the Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock: it has the same kind of sleek surface, which makes blending with Distress Inks really easy. I cut the sky panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Elle-Ments dies and inked it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. 
For the cloud borders I used one of the dies in the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio die set and Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. I repeated the same steps for the two little clouds in the sky, that I cut using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds dies.
I also cut a cloud border and a few puffy clouds from some vellum to do some layering later on.
The cupids are digital stamps by C.C. Designs, but they are also available as physical stamps. The heart popping out from the clouds is from the Studio Katia Sweet Heart Candy stamp set. I colored all the images with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers –  in the video tutorial you will find the list of colors that I used for each section. I also wanted to let you know that you can find a free comparison chart between Copics, Spectrum Noir markers, Promarkers, Prismacolor pencils and Polychromos pencils on the Kit and Clowder website! I think it is really an amazing resource!
I die cut the sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Love You Border die, which I cut from the same dark gray cardstock as my card base. The base itself measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/5″. 
Finally, I added some glitter to all the hearts in this sweet scene using my Spectrum Noir clear overlay pen.
