Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I made for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge #378. The card is pretty quick to come together, but I really love the way it turned out, and I really like this color combination – I will have to find other ways to implement it!
The images I used today are from the My Favorite Things Recipe for Happiness stamp set. They were stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies.
For the card base I used some aqua cardstock that would match the color I used for my chef’s clothes, and I decided to create a faux shaker card with the smaller images in the set. Why faux? Because the images are actually glued to the background. π However, since they are arranged in a random fashion, they give the illusion of movement behind the chef, and almost look as if they were falling, or shaking around.
The brown panel was cut using the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies, and to keep the main focus on the chef, I decided to use vellum for my window shaker.
I then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on a banner I cut using the My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-Namics, and for some finishing details I added a few Nuvo Drops in Simply White.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked this card and you found this post useful.
I will be back very soon with another fun project, and in the meantime I wish you all a great day!
