Hi everyone! Today I am back with a floral card I made for the new Create a Smile Stamps challenge. We loved all the beautiful entries in the past two weeks, and look forward to seeing what you create next!
Without further ado, let’s reveal the challenge theme!
Create a Smile Stamps has quite a range of gorgeous floral stamps, and for this card I used the beautiful Aloha Spirit stamp set. I am already in the mood for summer, so this was the perfect choice to daydream of sunsets at the beach. 🙂
As a first step I stamped my images on some Fabriano Bristol Smooth cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink, embossed them with clear embossing powder, and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
For my sunset background I did some ink blending with Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin on a piece of Fabriano Bristol Smooth Cardstock (which is very similar to Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock).
I then stamped my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
In order to create a window on my card I cut some white cardstock using the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies and the Create a Smile Stamps Stacked Pierced Ovals dies. I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables to cut some black cardstock to a standard A2 size and create a frame for my focal panel.
