Hi everyone! Today I am back with another mini video series showing you how to create a scene card using some marvelous stamps by Impronte d’Autore in their Alice in Wonderland collection. I love scene cards and I have a lot of fun creating them, and this time I decided to do something different and to use stencils to give my card a more whimsical and cartoon-like look. And, I have to say, I am pretty happy with how it turned out! 🙂
I colored the images from the set “Regina di Cuori” (Queen of Hearts) with Spectrum Noir and Copic Markers, and I altered sligthly one of the trees to make it look as if there was some fresh red paint dripping from one of the roses. That’s because I wanted my scene to capture the moment when the Playing Cards were in the process of painting the white roses with red paint to avoid being beheaded by the Queen of Hearts. Kinda scary 😛
Ciao a tutti!
I then moved on to building my scene. For each landscape element, I die cut some Fabriano Bristol Smooth carstock (very similar to Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock) using a die with the shape I needed, I added color with Distress Inks, and then I used stencils to add a whimsical touch to my scene. Here is the list of all the products I used for each of the landscape elements
Foreground Hill:
Mama Elephant Landscape Trio dies
Distress Inks in Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron
Skinny Chevron Stencil by Create a Smile Stamps
Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies
Background Hill:
Mama Elephant Landscape Trio Dies
Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Lucky Clover, and Mowed Lawn
Skinny Chevron Stencil by Create a Smile Stamps
Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies
Sky:
Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean
Collina in Primo Piano:
Fustelle Landscape Trio di Mama Elephant
Distress Inks in Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron
Stencil Skinny Chevron di Create a Smile Stamps

Collina in Secondo Piano:

Cielo:
Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean
I popped up the hills and some of the trees with some craft foam, and with the images I hadn’t used on my card front I decorated the inside of my card. I added the smile on the Sun using the Cheshire Cat image in the set Stregatto (i.e. Cheshire Cat) by Impronte d’Autore and doing some selective inking. I also created a mini series on my YouTube channel where I show how I made this card. One of the videos shows the scene building process, and in the other one I share the coloring for the images in this card. You can watch it directly on watch it on my YouTube channel. If you like it don’t forget to let me know with a comment and a thumbs up, and if you’d like to see more from me you can subscribe to always stay up to date with my content! 🙂
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked this card and enjoyed the video! If you did, you might want to check out this other mini series where I used other stamps from the Impronte d’Autore Alice in Wonderland series. I really love these images! Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
I love this Alice series and what you have done with it. How do I navigate the site to order if I don't speak the language? How much is shipping to the U.S.? Or does a U.S. company carry their items?
Hello Bonnie, thank you for your comments! The website has an English version, if should be easier to navigate if this way. Concerning shipping to the US I will get back to you as soon as I have more information on the matter. You asked to send an email but I can’t find it, could you please send it to me if you prefer me to contact you there? Thank you and have a nice day 🙂
I just got an answer, I hope you will read this. They do ship to the US, and if you’d like to purchase their stamps you can send them an email telling them which products you would like to purchase, they will calculate the shipping costs and get back to you. Hope this helps!
