Hi everyone! Today I am back with a shaker card I made for the new challenge on the Create a Smile Stamps blog. We had many great entries in the last challenge, and we look forward to your creations for this one!
The theme for this challenge finally gave me the opportunity to use the adorable Bear Mail stamp set – this bear is just too cute! I really love him!
I stamped the images in this set on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped many of the love letters because those will be my shaker elements.
For the shaker background I used Distress Oxides in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio, and the Create a Smile Stamps Say It! stencil. I also added water droplets for a fun look.
The front of my shaker is cut from white heavyweight cardstock using dies by Studio Katia. The scalloped rectangle is part of the Dotted Patters Scallop Frames set, and the circular die I used to cut the window belongs to the Dotted Ballons set.
The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew to the heart on the post box and to those on the letters that I had glued on my card front.
