Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card and a video tutorial featuring products by Heffy Doodle Stamps and a die by My Favorite Things. This card has monochromatic feel thanks to the yellow and warm brown palette that I used on the card base, with the only exception being the little mice.
So let’s dive into it and see how I created it.
The images I used come from the Heffy Doodle Stamps Hello Squeakheart stamp set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on some Neenah Solar White Cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I then fussy cut them all with my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.
For my background I cut two panels out of some yellow and ochre cardstock using two of the dies in the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames set. I added some shading to the edges of the panels to give them some dimension. For the smaller one I used Distress Oxide in Wild Honey, and for the larger one I used Memento Dew Drops in Toffee Crunch and Distress Oxide in Wild Honey. I then used the small cheese slice stamp in the Hello Squeakheart stamp set to do some repeated stamping with Distress Oxide in Wild Honey and create my own patterned paper on the smaller panel.
For the sentiment I used the My Favorite Things Scripty Celebrate Die-Namics to cut some ochre and brown cardstock. I added some shading to the ochre die cut with Distress Oxide in Wild Honey and Memento Dew Drops in Toffee Crunch, and glued the two sentiments together, making sure to shift them with respect to each other, so that I would create a drop shadow effect. I heat embossed one of the sentiments in the Hello Squeakheart Stamp set with white embossing powder on some more brown cardstock, and assembled the card front.
With two of the images that were left from the coloring I decorated the inside of the card, making sure I had enough space to write my own message to the recipient.
