Friendship Card feat Studio Katia

Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a friendship card I made with the Studio Katia You’re So Ranunculus stamp set and the Chunky Confetti Glitter.
As a first step I stamped the image in the You’re So Ranunculus stamp set with waterproof ink on some Canson XL watercolor cardstock and did some loose watercoloring with Distress Inks.
I used Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seeds and added two layers of color on each flower to create interest and color variation.
I then used Prismacolor pencils to add some texture and shading. For the pinks flower I used PC929 and PC 1081, for the orange flowers I used PC1033 and PC1034, and for the yellow flowers I used PC1002 and PC1034.

Once I was done coloring I die cut the image with the coordinating dies and started working on my background. I cut some more watercolor cardstock to an A2 size with the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frame dies and added some splatters to it and to the die cut image using Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seeds and Black Soot. I then cut a window on this panel using the Scallop Window creative dies.

For the window background I took some more watercolor cardstock, adhered three strips of double sided adhesive, and coated them with Studio Katia Chunky Confetti Glitter.
I backed the card front with some acetate and used a single layer of foam tape to adhere it over the panel with the glitter stripes.

For the sentiment I used the scripty hello die in the You’re so Ranunculus coordinating dies to cut some black cardstock, and, as a final embellishment, I glued down some Studio Katia Onyx Crystals to the card front.
