Sugar Pea Designs Fall 2018 Sweet Peek Week – Day 3

Hi everyone! Whew, we are already halfway through the the Sweet Peek Week for the SugarPea Designs Fall 2018 release! Time flies when you are having fun! 
Today I am showing you a spooky but cute Halloween card I created with the Bewitched stamp set and Sugar Cuts in combination with the Hocus Pocus Sugar Cuts. 


To begin with I stamped the images on Bristol Vellum by Strathmore with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils. I created a glow effects on the little witch and the cat because I wanted them to look as if they were illuminated by the bubbling potion in the cauldron.
Once I was done coloring I die cut the images with the cooridinating Sugar Cuts.

For the cauldron and the bubbles I used dies in the Hocus Pocus Sugar Cuts to cut some more Bristol Vellum cardstock, and used Distress Inks to add color and shading to the die cuts. For the potion I used Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover, and for the cauldron I used Pumice Stone and Black Soot. 
I created the background sky with Gansai Tambi watercolors and blended some Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron in the area above the cauldron. 
I heat embossed the sentiment with green embossing powder and mounted everything on a black card base, that I cut using the Card Front Element Builder Sugar Cuts. I used two thin strips of white cardstock to separate the sky panel from the black base, and added some Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard over the bubbles for some extra dimension.
