Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I made for day 3 of the C.C. Designs Release Preview Week, featuring the new Haunted House and Halloween Tickets stamps and coordinating dies.
For today’s card I decided to try my hand at some no-line coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using My Favorite Things Grout Gray Hybrid ink, and colored them with my markers. I have a video at the end of this post, where I show the coloring process, and here is a color chart too, with all the markers I used.
Once I was done coloring I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
In order to create a background for my haunted house I die cut two pieces of watercolor cardstock using one of the dies in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables set, and I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides. I used a blending brush and the colors Ripe Persimmon, Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky, all from the latest set.
For the grass I used the My Favorite Things Grassy Fields Die-Namics and Distrss Oxides in Ground Espresso, Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive.
I cut my card base out of some black cardstock and did some repeated stamping with the smaller images in the Haunted House stamp set. I used Versamark ink for a subtle patterned paper effect
I then stamped one of the images in the C.C. Designs Halloween Tickets set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock with My Favorite Things ink in Black Licorice, and quickly colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I left the stamping sort of imperfect on purpose as I thought this would match the spooky look of the card. I die cut it with the coordinating dies and adhered it to my card.
As a finishing touch I added some Glow in the Dark Nuvo Drops in the color Apple Sour, and I will soon share pictures of how fun they look when the lights are out!
