Hi everyone! Today I am back with a super fun card I created with the C.C. Designs Bat & Spider Stamp set. I really love the style of these illustrations, and I was very excited to finally get a chance to color them in! For this card I decided to use Prismacolor Pencils on Toned Gray paper by Strathmore. I took my time and really enjoyed the coloring process. When I was done coloring I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
I created a color chart for you in case you would like to use it as a reference.
For the sky background I die cut some more Toned Gray paper to an A2 size and I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides. I used Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. I heat embossed the cobweb with white embossing powder, and then created the stars with the silver paint in the Gansai Tambi watercolor palette.
For the wall I used again Toned Gray. I used the My Favorite Things Small Brick Wall Stencil and did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in Iced Spruce and Black Soot.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and die cut a panel around it using the Ticket die. I used the My Favorite Things Abstract Stencil and Distress Oxide in Black Soot to add interest to it.
I wanted to create some glowy slime dripping from the wall, so I used the Halloween dies and several coats of Glow in the Dark embossing powder by Lawn Fawn, so that it would be nice and dimensional.
And here is how it looks when the lights are out! Spooky! π
I assembled everything on a top folding A2 white base, and that finished off my card.
Here’s another look at it – I really think this one came out really cool! I love the images and how all the elements play with each other in this spooky scene!
And that’s it for today! I really hope you guys liked this card and enjoyed the post.
I will be back soon with another fun project, and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!
