The inspiration came from this Halloween card by my DT mate Cristina, and I decided to put my spin on it.
The stamps I used today are part of the wonderful Wizard of Oz series by Impronte d’Autore. These are clear stamps with sentiments in Italian, but are also available with sentiments in English as unmounted rubber stamps. I used images from the sets Io Voglio un Cuore (English version here), La Bontà di una Bambina (English version here) e La Magia è nel Credere (English version here). I combined them with the Lawn Fawn Costume Party stamp set, which helped me create the Halloween theme for this card.
For the scene itself I used Distress Inks and dies by Lawn Fawn (my card front measures 9.9 x 21 cm). For the sky I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. I created some stars using Gansai Tambi watercolors in silver and white.
For the grass I used the Grassy Hillside Borders by Lawn Fawn and Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. In order to get a long enough panel I used the extended die cutting technique, that I explain in the video at the end of this post.
In a similar way I created my fence with the Lawn Fawn Spooky Fence Border and Distress Inks in Pumice Stone e Hickory Smoke.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Costume Party stamp set with white embossing powder on some black cardstock, and I cut a banner around it using one of the dies in the Double Slider Surprise set by Lawn Fawn.
I decorated the inside of my card (the base measures 21 x 19.8 cm and is scored at 9.9 cm) using one more sentiment from the Costume Party set, and images from the set Felicità (English version here) by Impronte d’Autore. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black, and the images with Distress Oxide in Hickory Smoke. Isn’t it adorable?!
I also created a video tutorial for this card, you can watch it down below. If you enjoy the video, you can let me know with a comment and a thumbs up on my YouTube channel, and you can subscribe for more! Thank you for your support!
And that’s it for today! I really hope you guys liked this card and enjoyed today’s video!
I will be back soon with another fun project, and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!
