And now let’s’have a look at the card I created for the hop!

I wanted to play with different embossing powders and to combine two gorgeous Christmas stamp sets by Studio Katia: the Poinsettia Trimmings and the Merry Poinsettia.
I created my own custom background by repeatedly stamping images from the Poinsettia Trimmings set, and by heat embossing them with the gorgeous Platinum Embossing Powder by WOW. I then colored the images Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used warm greys as I only wanted to add dimension to the background, but I wanted the attention to be all for the focal point on this card.

For that I used the Merry Poinsettia stamps. I heat embossed the images with WOW embossing powder in the color Copper (so pretty!!!) and colored it again with my Zigs. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies and added some shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen.

I then moved on to the sentiment. I die cut the word merry from black cardstock and stacked three die cuts in order to create dimension. I heat embossed the word Christmas from the Poinsettia Trimmings set with Oyster embossing powder on Bristol Smooth Cardstock and blended Distress ink in Black Soot over the strip of cardstock. This embossing powder is translucent and has a slight off white tint to it, which makes it look so elegant!
I glued everything on a top-folding A2 card base, and that finished off my card.
And now for the blog hop! Here is the list of all the blogs in the hop! Make sure to hop along and comment for your chance to win the amazing prizes sponsored by these two fabulous companies! Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!

Gorgeous card! I love how you stamped several Poinsettia's for the base of the card and then used a Platinum embossing powder for them! It really looks cool against the gorgeous colored Poinsettia's on top of them!

Laura this card is stunning! I love the background and how the focal poinsettias just pop right off the card, it is gorgeous and so elegant. I agree the Copper embossing powder is yummy lol. Thanks for sharing this card and for the awesome inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
