Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a clean and simple winter card I created with the Holiday Village stamp set and the Scallop Square Creative Dies.
To start off the card I created the sky background with Gansai Tambi Watercolors. Once it was dry I heat embossed the stars in the Holiday Village stamp set with Sparkling Snow embossing powder by WOW!. I die cut a small hill with the Trimmings Borders creative dies, added some shading with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and some sparkle and dimension with the WOW! White Puff Twinkle embossing powder.
I then stamped a few images from the Holiday Village stamp set. I did some quick watercoloring on them too, and added the same WOW! White Puff Twinkle embossing powder to the snow on the little house. What a cute and charming stamp set!
The Scallop Square Creative Dies set comes with two dies that will allow you to create a snow globe. I used the domed-shaped one to die cut an opening on my card front, which I had previously die cut with the Darling Ribbon and Frames dies. I then used the small rectangular one, which can be used as the base of the snow globe, to cut some watercolor cardstock. I quickly added some color and a light woodgrain pattern to it with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.
I backed the window on my card front with some acetate, and assembled everything. I stamped one of the sentiments in the Holiday Village set with Distress Oxide in Chipped Sapphire, and that finished off my card.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I hope I inspired you to create with the lovely Holiday Village stamp set.
Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Love your snowglobe scene, Laura! A wonderful reminder that we don't need to include the entire village to make a sweet scene! Definitely inspired! Adding the square die to my wish list!
