Hi everyone! Today I am back with my second post as a guest designer for Little Blue Button Stamps. If you are new to this company, they design and sell some really sweet and fun digital stamps, you can have a look at them here.
For today’s card I used the Sweet Dreams digital stamp. I printed it on Canson XL watercolor cardstock with my Canon Pixma TS5050 because I wanted to paint it with my Distress Inks. This printer is great as it has a pigment ink that works well for watercolors and handles easily heavyweight cardstock. It also comes with a traditional black ink, that I use when I want to do some coloring with Spectrum Noir or Copic markers.
I took my time and did some watercoloring with Distress Inks. For the sky I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean. For the moon I used Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw. For the blanket I used Peacock Feathers, and for the girl’s PJs I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar.
I painted the skin with Tattered Rose and the hair with Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw.
Finally for the lantern I used Rusty Hinge and Barn Door. I created some stars using the gold pan in my Gansai Tambi Watercolor set.
I left my panel to dry and then die cut it with the Tonic Studios Layering Squares. I used the same set to cut some black cardstock too, with which I framed my watercolor panel.
