I then stamped the main image from the Waffle Flower Hugs stamp set with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black ink and colored it with Nuvo Markers. I used Sunshine Yellows and Honey Amber for the giraffe, Pebble Beack for the raccoon and the ram and Stormy Greys for the bunny. For the dog and the bear on the lower portion of the image I used Natural Browns, and for the bear in the center of the image I used Cookies and Cream. Lastly, I colored the little bird with markers in the set Aquamarine.
Because I don’t have the Fair Skin Tones set, I used Spectrum Noir number FS9, FS4 and FS2 for the muzzles of the giraffe and the ram, for the ears of the bunny and the raccoon, and for the belly of the raccon. In order to achieve more color depth and contrast, I used Prismacolor pencils in the shadow areas.
I then stamped the sentiment and filled the background by repeatedly stamping the heart in the Waffle Flower Hugs set. I colored the hearts with the markers in the Coral Reef set and outlined all the images with the lightest marker in the Aquamarine set.
I glued my card front on one of the Scrapbook.com Neenah Solar White pre-cut card bases, and that finished off my card.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed this post and like this cute all-year-round card! I need to make more of these – you never have enough cards to tell your friends that you are thinking about them!
Stay tuned for another fun project and, in the meantime, I wish you all a great day!
