Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I created for a blog hop to celebrate the release of the new set of Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers – the Tropical Fiesta set! There is a lot of inspiration and prizes to be won, so stay tune for more details! 

The Altenew Tropical Fiesta set consists of 10 watercolor markers –  I really liked them because of the nice flow and of the vibrancy of the colors. There is a swatch below and also you can see me swatch them live in the video tutorial I have at the end of this post.

For my card today I decided to pair them with the Altenew Wallpaper Art stamp set. These florals are gorgeous and, because they are so large, they were the perfect canvas to practice with these markers.

For the flowers I used the colors Crimson and Fresh Lemon and for the leaves I used Lime and  Sweet Leaf. Because these markers are water based I used some water to blend them out. Once I was done coloring I die cut them with the Wallpaper Art Die Set.

For the background I scribbled down some color with the marker Turquoise on a panel of Canson XL watercolor cardstock cut at 4×5.25″ and I blended it out with a paintbrush loaded with water. I then added droplets with the same Turquoise Marker and with the Desert Night marker. I also added some shimmery droplets with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen.

I matted the panel with an A2 sized sheet of black cardstock and glued my heat embossed sentiment with some foam tape.
