Pink and Main 5th Birthday Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a super cheerful birthday card for the Pink and Main’s 5th Birthday Blog Hop! There are giveaways and tons of inspiration along the way, 
so make sure you hop along! You will find all the details at the end of this post!
For my card today I used the BEE Day stamp set and the Happy Birthday Dies. I started by stamping the images on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black Ink and I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

 For the background I cut some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock to 4 by 5 1/4″ and ink blended Wild Honey, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides on top. I added some water droplets to create a distressed look.

For the background panel as well as for the sentiment outline I ink blended Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry over some more Bristol Smooth Cardstock and added water droplets on top. The card size is the standard 4 1/4 by 5 1/2″ and for the sentiment and the sentiment outline I used the Pink and Main Happy Birthday Dies.

I then matted the yellow background with black cardstock cut at 4 1/8 by 5 3/8″ and glued it on the pink background. I adhered all the elements to the card, raising the sentiment and the smaller bees with some foam tape.

I added some finishing touches with a white gel pen and with Glossy Accents, that I used to coat the balloon and the eyes and antennas of the bees.
