Hi everyone! Today I am back with a summer themed floral card and a video showing you how to create it!
As a first step I stamped the gorgeous flowers from the Aloha stamp set on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I then created my sunset sky with Distress Inks. I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade, and blended them on some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I added stars to the sky with Perfect Pearls in Perfect Gold, Perfect Copper and Perfect Pearl: I diluted them with water and used a paintbrush to create droplets over my background.
I created a window panel by die cutting some white cardstock with the Darling Ribbon & Frames dies, and glued everything together. The larger floral image is raised over one layer of foam tape, and the rest is glued down flat.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder over black cardstock and added a scattering of sequins from the Summer Fusion Mix – it was just perfect for this card!
To add even more sparkle and shine to the card, I coated the flowers and the leaves with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen. I hope the picture below can give you a bit of an impression of how shimmery this card turned out!
As I mentioned, I recorded a video tutorial for you, showing how to create this summer floral card featuring the Studio Katia Aloha stamp set. You can watch it down below or directly my YouTube channel!
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked today’s card and enjoyed the video!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
