Hi everyone! Today I am back to share with you an easy and fun ocean themed card, featuring the Studio Katia Under the Sea stamp set. There is also a video tutorial at the end of this post, showing you the entire card making process!
To create a quick ocean background I used shimmer powders on a sheet of watercolor cardstock, that I had die cut with the Studio Katia Darling Ribbon & Frames dies. I used Atlantis Burst, Blue Blitz and Solar Flare.
For the card front, I die cut some white cardstock with the Studio Katia Darling Ribbon & Frames dies first, and then I die cut two openings with the Scallop Oblong dies, also by Studio Katia.
The images I chose are from the Studio Katia Under the Sea stamp set. I stamped them with black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Once the background was dry, I added some extra texture and shimmer with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone and the Brush Stroke Waves stencil. I glued everything to a top folding A2 card base, raising the front panel and the sea creatures on one layer of foam tape.
To finish off the card, I glued some iridescent bubbles on my card front – these were just the perfect embellishment for my ocean themed card!
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, there is a video tutorial for you, showing how to create this card. And don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more inspiration!
