Hey everyone! Today I am back to share with you the card I created for the MFT Card Design Superstar 2019 challenge, in the CAS Genius category. Ok, genius might be a bit of an overstatement…as a matter of fact, CAS cards are a real challenge for me…I can never stop!
I tried very hard not to keep adding elements to this one and, while it might not be genius, it is certainly CAS. We gotta cherish the small victories!
The stamp set I used for this card is the MFT Squirrels…so so cute, like all the Birdie Brown sets! I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Spectrum Noir ink in the color Pebble and I colored them with my Illustrator Markers.
I always end up falling back on scene cards, but for this one I just wanted a hint of a scene, and that’s why the sky doesn’t extend very far from the images and fades into white.
I also added some white gel pen details to bring the focus on the squirrel a little bit more.
To finish off the card, I trimmed the panel to 4 1/8 by 5 3/8 and I glued it to my A2 card base.
And that’s it for today! In case you missed it, I also entered the Coloring Virtuoso category with this card.
Fingers crossed for everyone who entered and have a great day to you all!
The items marked with a * were sent to me for free for designing purposes.
