As part of the hop today I created two Christmas cards and a video tutorial as well. The cards feature sentiments from the Big And Bold Christmas Sentiments and the Christmas Fun Card Sentiments stamp sets by Scrapbook.com. They were both embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder by Lawn Fawn.
I created the backgrounds on some white card bases. For the red one I blended Scrapbook.com Inks in Cardinal Red and Ballet Slippers and for the blue one I used Midnight Blue and Black.
The stars were created from Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum and die cut with the Nested Stars dies. To avoid any glue showing through the vellum, I turned the stars into stickers using Double Sided Adhesive Sheets.

Darling cards! Great backgrounds! We have so many traditions from finding the perfect tree, to dated ornaments, to photos with Santa! Can't wait to celebrate this year with the 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old!
One of my favorite parts of the holidays are making Christmas cards. Each one is tailored to the recipient, so no two cards are the same.
these are ABSOLUTELY CUTE. Such sweet designs!
Oh these are so cute! Every year the littles get their picture taken with Santa.
Cute card designs and sentiments. I like the stars. We like to go Christmas caroling at nursing homes.
Pretty cards! I love the rose gold embossed sentiment!
Cute cards! I am thinking my great granddaughters would love them!
Sweet cards with fun sentiments. Over christmas our family will play board games and probable eat our own weight in yummy chocolates.
I think that your unicorn thinks he is a reindeer π I remember when I found out that Santa wasn't real…I told my next door neighbor boy, and got in TROUBLE!!!
Laura I love the ink blending and embossing, really cute cards
thanks for the tip on adhering the stars.
Hadn't thought about using the double-sided
sheets. I look forward to getting my
Santaβs out of storage and putting them on
display. There's a lot of them so
it takes awhile.

The blue is so vibrant!
Love the cards, your coloring on the unicorn and santa is great. The big, bold sentiments make the cards. thank you
Love your cards!!
I always make sure to bake cookies with my kids every year.

Laura as always amazing cards, especially adding the little Unicorn and Santa and his Sleigh. You are always so inspiring and love your creativity. Favorite holiday memories are Midnight Mass and my husband playing Santa for the last 42 years, and of course the lights.

I really love the blue colour, so vibrant!
I am going to have to get that stamp! Super cute idea!!! What a beautiful card! Christmas for me is filled with so many memories. My favorite memory is being with my Grama and seeing what color her tree was each year β¦ either traditional (multi color w/ silver icicles), or a Chrismon tree with white/gold ornaments (all of which were hand-made). This will be our 2nd Christmas without her. I would give anything to see her tree again (she was 102 the last time she put her tree up … She would have been 104 on Dec. 3rd.) I miss her and all her traditions! (a.k.a. Corrie Hanson @ cozycorner1902@gmail.com)
Cute cards, love the cute diecuts!
Love your cards!!!! My favorite Christmas tradition is when our family gathers for Christmas eve.
These are gorgeous. I really enjoyed the video–thank you. A favorite holiday tradition is decorating the tree with my family.
Lovely holiday cards! I love watching the Christmas excitement through my kids.
Thanks for the detailed photos as well as the video.
Gotta admit I love the little unicorn the best π Santa doesn't wrap his presents at our house! Though we wrap the ones we exchange on Christmas eve
I like what you did by incorporating the stars into the "scene." A neat effect!
Those lawn fawn dies are cute!
Soooo cute I love that little santa!
Your cards are so cute!
I love the cheery bright colors & the vellum stars on these pretty cards!! I love making handmade Christmas cards for all my family & friends!!
Love both of your cards – especially the blue one. One of my favorite holiday traditions is decorating holiday cookies with my kids and their grandparents. As they get older the decorating is getting better and better!
I love how you added Santa & his sleigh!! β€οΈ
Beautiful blending; I need to practice. The unicorn is precious.
One of my Christmas memories is that after the Christmas Eve program at church all the children were gifted with a bag of fruit, nuts and peppermint candy.
Oh what fabulous cards! Wonderfully beautiful and creative designs. I'm looking forward to making fun tags to adorn my packages this year.
Good tip about the vellum. My daughter owns/runs a photo booth business and at Christmas has a lot of events with Santa. Sometimes my 4 year old grandson gets to go. He thinks all the Santa's are one and the same. So he thinks he is good friends with HoHo. his name for Santa.
Such fantastic cards! Great colors and designs… I love to make cookies for my family.
Thanks for sharing.
Love how you added the Lawn Fawn Unicorn and Santa to these classic Christmas cards! Memories: Christmas Eve Candlelight service at my church with all the family singing hymns and holiday songs together! What a fabulous moment!!
Love the nested star dies and your adorable cards! Cute Santa and unicorn images, and beautiful coloring!
A treasured memory… whenever I see peppermint candies, it makes me think of my Dad! He loved them and always carried a few in his pocket!
Such cute cards. Love the colors
Love your Handmade Papercraft Holiday Parade Card.
It has been interesting to see everyone's different take using the stars. Lovely cards.
Love how you created the white space…another great idea for my yet to get started holiday cards… tree went up on Friday, so that is at least a start…
Those stars look like they are glowing, so cool
