Exciting, right?!

As part of the hop today I created two Christmas cards and a video tutorial as well. The cards feature sentiments from the Big And Bold Christmas Sentiments and the Christmas Fun Card Sentiments stamp sets by Scrapbook.com. They were both embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder by Lawn Fawn.

I created the backgrounds on some white card bases. For the red one I blended Scrapbook.com Inks in Cardinal Red and Ballet Slippers and for the blue one I used Midnight Blue and Black.

The stars were created from Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum and die cut with the Nested Stars dies. To avoid any glue showing through the vellum, I turned the stars into stickers using Double Sided Adhesive Sheets.

The images that I used to decorate the cards come from the Lawn Fawn Winter Unicorn and Ho-Ho-Holidays stamp sets. I stamped them with Premium Hybrid Black ink by Scrapbook.com and colored them with Zig Markers.
I adhered everything to my A2 card bases, and that finished off the cards. Make sure to watch the video tutorial down below if you are interested to see the step by step process for the creation of these easy Christmas cards! Darling cards! Great backgrounds! We have so many traditions from finding the perfect tree, to dated ornaments, to photos with Santa! Can't wait to celebrate this year with the 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old!

I think that your unicorn thinks he is a reindeer πŸ™‚ I remember when I found out that Santa wasn't real…I told my next door neighbor boy, and got in TROUBLE!!!

thanks for the tip on adhering the stars.
Hadn't thought about using the double-sided
sheets. I look forward to getting my
Santa’s out of storage and putting them on
display. There's a lot of them so
    it takes awhile.

Laura as always amazing cards, especially adding the little Unicorn and Santa and his Sleigh. You are always so inspiring and love your creativity. Favorite holiday memories are Midnight Mass and my husband playing Santa for the last 42 years, and of course the lights.

I am going to have to get that stamp! Super cute idea!!! What a beautiful card! Christmas for me is filled with so many memories. My favorite memory is being with my Grama and seeing what color her tree was each year … either traditional (multi color w/ silver icicles), or a Chrismon tree with white/gold ornaments (all of which were hand-made). This will be our 2nd Christmas without her. I would give anything to see her tree again (she was 102 the last time she put her tree up … She would have been 104 on Dec. 3rd.) I miss her and all her traditions! (a.k.a. Corrie Hanson @ cozycorner1902@gmail.com)

Gotta admit I love the little unicorn the best πŸ™‚ Santa doesn't wrap his presents at our house! Though we wrap the ones we exchange on Christmas eve

  7. Wanda R.

Love both of your cards – especially the blue one. One of my favorite holiday traditions is decorating holiday cookies with my kids and their grandparents. As they get older the decorating is getting better and better!

  8. Sandy M

Beautiful blending; I need to practice. The unicorn is precious.
One of my Christmas memories is that after the Christmas Eve program at church all the children were gifted with a bag of fruit, nuts and peppermint candy.

Good tip about the vellum. My daughter owns/runs a photo booth business and at Christmas has a lot of events with Santa. Sometimes my 4 year old grandson gets to go. He thinks all the Santa's are one and the same. So he thinks he is good friends with HoHo. his name for Santa.

Love how you added the Lawn Fawn Unicorn and Santa to these classic Christmas cards! Memories: Christmas Eve Candlelight service at my church with all the family singing hymns and holiday songs together! What a fabulous moment!!

  11. Denise Bryant

Love the nested star dies and your adorable cards! Cute Santa and unicorn images, and beautiful coloring!
A treasured memory… whenever I see peppermint candies, it makes me think of my Dad! He loved them and always carried a few in his pocket!
