Hi everyone! It’s Laura here and today I am back with a fun Happy New Year card and a step by step video tutorial showing how to create it!
The card combines several products from the ModaScrap range, which I think work really perfectly together! For my card base I used one of the papers from the The Icy Winter Season 6×6β paper pad and I trimmed it down to 4.25×5.5β.
Next, I created another rectangular panel with the Dashing Rectangles dies. I first used the Fiocco di Neve stamp set to heat emboss some snowflakes with clear embossing powder. I then did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in the colors Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.
The focal image for my card is the adorable bear from the Unconventional Xmas stamp set. I stamped it with alcohol proof black ink and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut the image with the coordinating dies.
For my sentiment I used the Funny Alphabet die and I also created a banner using the Banner dies. I cut the letters to form the greeting Happy 2020 from white cardstock and shaded the numbers 2020 with Distress Oxides in Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.
I also used the Big Snowflake die to create a focal point for my image.
I glued everything to my card base and, as a finishing touch, I coated the sentiment with a Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen first and then with Glossy Accents.
And that’s it for today! Don’t forget that there is a video tutorial, showing how to make this Happy New Year card!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day.
