Slimline Christmas Scene Card | Mama Elephant Snow Friends

Hi everyone! Today I am super excited to be back with this adorable slimline Christmas scene card featuring lots of products by Mama Elephant!

The card was created as part of Jenn Shurkus’ Get Cracking On Christmas. This is a fun montly event with the purpose of getting us all started on our Christmas cards and to play with our holiday stamp sets throughout the year. I am very honored to be part of it and you can join too – there are also monthly giveaways offered by Jenn!

For my card today I decided to use the Slimline Basics Dies by Mama Elephant. Slimline cards are so popular right now and I love that this set has dies to create scenes as well!
For the sky I die cut some blue cardstock and I blended Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot on the edges to create some dimension. I also added some droplets with Perfect Pearls in the color Perfect Pearl.

For the snowy hill I used again the Slimline Basics dies and die cut some watercolor cardstock. I created some shading with Blending Brushes by Scrapbook.com and Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar. I brushed the hill with Perfect Pearls to make it a bit shimmery.

With the Snow Flurries dies by Mama Elephant I created some snowflakes. Like I did for the hill, I shaded the snowflakes with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and added some shimmer by brushing them with Perfect Pearls.

The images I used today come from the Mama Elephant Snow Friends, Santa’s Sleigh, Cool Penguins and Little Fairy Agenda stamp sets. I stamped them on Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock and (I bet you are not surprised) I colored them with Illustrator markers.

For the sentiment I used the coordinating dies to The Penguin’s Waddle stamp set. I layered some teal and white cardstock to create a drop shadow effect and I brushed the die cuts with Perfect Pearls.
I finished off the card with some Crystal Stickles, that I added rather sparingly to my images.

And that’s it for today! Don’t forget to check out Jenn’s blog for more inspiration and all the details on how you can Get Cracking on Christmas, too! Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

The items marked with a * were sent to me for free for designing purposes. When possible, affiliated links are used at no cost to you. Thank you for your support! πŸ’–

LOVE your adorable, bright and cheery slimline card. (And I had to re-visit the Oh Kitty Tree which is fabulous too.
