Hey everyone! Today I a back to share a card I made using the Spellbinders Hand Drawn Wave Glimmer Plates and the Rainbow Hot Foil Roll!
I won’t lie, the past few days have been a bit hard for me, and I am sure that, with everything that’s going on right now, we are all struggling in a way or another. I really hope the world will go back to normal soon, but, until it does, I am going to keep crafting and surround myself with colors and things that make my heart happy! And this card represents all of that!
For the wavy background I foiled some waterecolor cardstock using the Spellbinders Hand Drawn Wave Glimmer Plates and the Rainbow Hot Foil Roll.To do that you will also need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System (which, by the way, is on sale as part of the huge Summer Sale on the Spellbinders store) and a die cutting machine, like the Spellbinders Platinum 6.
The cardstock was die cut to 4×5.25″ using the Spellbinders Lucky Clouds dies prior to foiling.
After I was done with foiling, I fussy cut the cardstock around the waves using my scissors. I first blended Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers on the panel with the waves. I then used whatever ink was left in my blending tool to shade the sky panel.
For the mermaid tail I used the Fun Stampers Journey Sparkle Mermaid Tail Dies. I die cut some watecolor cardstock and used Distess Inks in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry to add color. I also coated the pink die with Sparkle Silk to add some extra shimmer to my project! The images do not show it really clearly, but it is super sparkly!
For the sentiments on my cards I used Shellebrate Die Cut Shapes and Foam Stickers – these were part of a previous Card Kit of the Month and are now available for purchase as Card Kit of the Month Extras.
I added a few sequins from the Splash Zone mix and that finished off my card!
