One Layer Christmas Scene | Get Cracking On Christmas

Hi everyone! Today I am back to share with you a one layer card featuring the Snow Happy stamp set by Colorado Craft Company! This card is part of Jenn Shurkus’s Get Cracking on Christmas and Colorado Craft Company is kindly sponsoring this month’s event!

Don’t forget to visit Jenn’s blog for a list of all the crafters who are sharing inspiration and for more info on the giveaway she is hosting this month!

For my card today I decided to go for a one layer scene. I started by stamping these adorable snowmen from the Snow Happy stamp set [CCC | EH] on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock.
Here is a look at the set I used – I think it is super adorable!

I used Spectrum Noir alcohol proof black ink and I stamped the same image on some masking paper, too.
I masked off the image and blended the sky with Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Aged Mahogany, Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar.

I then stamped the snowflakes with white pigment ink by Fun Stampers Journey and created some droplets with White Gloss Spray by Ranger. Once the background was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder

For the coloring, I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. Here is the list of markers I used

  • Snow: BGR1, BGR2, BGR3
  • Green: DG4, DG2, DG1
  • Orange: BO4, BO1
  • Pink: AP4, AP3, AP1
  • Black: IG9, IG7, IG4

I mounted the panel on an A2 sized gray card background, and that finished off my card.

And that’s it for today! I really hope you enjoyed my Winter/Christmas inspiration for a one layer scene! Make sure to hop over to Jenn’s blog and check out the rest of the project that were created for this month’s Get Cracking on Christmas!

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
