Altenew 7th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway (over $1,400 in Total Prizes)

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card and a post to celebrate Altenew’s 7th Anniversary! This post is part of a hop with giveaways for a total of over 1400$ in prizes, so make sure to hop along to see all the inspiration and maximize your chances to win!

Before we move on to the card, here is a brief overview of the main products used.

โ€ข Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Layering Stamp & Die Set [ ALTN | SSS ]
โ€ข Leaf Frame Cover Die [ ALTN | SBC | SSS ]
โ€ข A Walk in the Woods Stamp Set [ ALTN | ELH ]

CARD BACKGROUND

For my card background, I started by stamping the woodgrain pattern in the A Walk in the Woods Stamp Set [ ALTN | ELH ] over some watercolor cardstock. I used Distress Oxide in Weathered Wood because I wanted to go for a cold color palette.

I used the Leaf Frame Cover Die [ ALTN | SBC | SSS ] to die-cut some white cardstock and I backed it with some vellum before adhering it to the background.

FOCAL IMAGE

For the main image on this card, I used the Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Layering Stamp & Die Set [ ALTN | SSS ]. I stamped the flowers with Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Wild Honey. For the stems, I used Bundled Sage and Forest Moss. It’s such a quick way to get a gorgeous result.
Once the inks were dry, I die cut everything with the coordinating dies.

SENTIMENT AND FINISHING TOUCHES

To finish off the card I used one of the greetings from the One Day at a Time Stamp Set [ ALTN | SSS ] by Altenew and I added some enamel dots using the new Scrapbook.com Pops of Color.
