Coffee Lovers Summer Blog Hop Card feat Craftin Desert Divas Coffee Date Digital Stamp

Hello everyone! I am back with a card I made for the Craftin Desert Divas’ blog. This week is the Coffee Lovers blog hop and Craftin Desert Divas is a sponsor. For the whole duration of the hop, they will be offering a super cute digital stamp as a freebie! Look at how sweet it is!

If you want to have a look at my project using that adorable freebie you can visit this post. And visit the Craftin Desert Divas blog to find out how to get their free digital stamp!
For this card I used another CDD digi, the super sweet Coffee Date stamp: I printed it on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it using my Spectrum Noir markers. For the color palette I was inspired by the June Mood Board over at the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery Facebook group. If you aren’t familiar with the CCD monthly challenge, I suggest you check it out, as every month you can play along for a chance to win great prizes!

Moving back to the card, once I was done with the coloring I cut the image down to a square which measures about 3 1/4 by 3 1/4″. To add some interest and frame the image I sponged the edges of the square with some Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac and a Ranger mini ink blender. I then cut a strip around my sentiment, which measures about 3 7/8″ by 5/8″. The sentiment comes with the Coffee Date digital stamp, and for some added interest I sponged the edges of the sentiment banner with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. I cut another strip (4″ by 7/8″) and a square (3 3/8″ by 3 3/8″) from some heavyweight white cardstock and I used my Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio to lightly add some color to their edges. For my card base I cut a piece of white cardstock to a standard US A2 size card, and I created my background with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar. I then used some white glue to adhere everything together and assemble my card. As a final piece of embellishment I added some Clear Glitter Nuvo Drops here and there. And I must say that I really love the way this card turned out! This Coffee Date digi is just so sweet, and the soft colors of the card really match the feel of the image!
And that’s it for today’s post! I really hope you guys liked this card, and I will be back very soon with another fun project! In the meanwhile I wish you all a great day! Ciaooo!
