Craftin Desert Diva June release – Card feat Coffee Trolls Stamps

Hello everyone! The Craftin Desert Divas release is finally out, and today I wanted to show you one more project featuring the super adorable Coffee Trolls.

I wanted to convey a magical feel to the card, so I used Distress Inks and an ink blender to create a soft but colorful background. I used Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio on a piece of Canson XL watercolor cardstock, which I then cut using the largest die in the Crazy Stitched Frame dies. The die also produces a fun stitched detail all around the rectangular panel which makes the background look even more special. And for even more fun I spritzed the background with water and I dried the excess with a paper towel.
Next up I colored my images using Spectrum Noir Markers, trying to match the colors of the background. I also coated their Trolls’ hair with my Spectrum Noir clear overlay pen for an added touch of magic :), and added some details using a white gel pen. For this project I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut  the images before coloring them.

I then went ahead and glued the images to my front panel, which in turn I adhered to a white piece of cardstock cut at a standard A2 size. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set, and I think it is really sweet combined with those cute little trolls! As a finishing touch I added some droplets here and there using my Nuvo Drops in clear glitter.
And that’s it for today’s post! I really hope you liked this card, personally I am quite happy with how it turned out! Those trolls are super sweet, and I think I managed to achieve exactly the look I was going for in this card!
I would also like to enter this project in the Coffee Lovers Summer Blog Hop. If you didn’t know, Craftin Desert Divas is one of the sponsors, and they are offering a free digital stamp for the duration of the hop! You can find out more on the Craftin Desert Divas blog
And if you are looking for more inspiration for this adorable stamp set, you can check out this post: I made a fun pop up box and I am offering a FREE template, in case you want to give it a try!
And that’s all! I will be back soon with another fun project, and in the meantime I wish you all a great day! Ciaooo!
