Craftin Desert Divas June Release Sneak Peek Slider Card feat Coffee Wizard Stamp Set

Hello everyone! Today is the last day of the Craftin Desert Divas sneak peek week for the June release, and the new stamp sets will be available for purches starting from today, at 3pm EST. How exciting!
Today’s card features the Coffee Wizards stamp set, and if you like me are a fan of a certain little wizard wearing
glasses you won’t be able to resist this set! For me it was love at
first sight! And as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make a slider
card: that “Accio Coffee” sentiment just called for it!
So let’s have a look at how I made this card. I started by coloring the little fox
wizard, the cups and the shelf with my Spectrum Noir markers. For the
card base I took a piece of white cardstock cut at a standard A2 size
card and I sponged it with Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany using my Ranger
Mini blender. I then cut out my card front from a separate piece of white cardstock using the largest die from
the Crazy Stitched Frames die set, and sponged its edges with some Distress Ink in Wild Honey. To
build the slider element I cut a slit in my card front using a craft
knife. I then took two of the coffee cup images and glued them together using some Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Because the images are
quite small, I added a strip of scrap cardstock to their back for extra stability.
I then cut another strip of white cardstock, making sure it was larger
than the slit I had cut in my front, as that will be the element that will allow to pull the cups towards the wizard.
I backed the card front with some fun foam, making sure to leave room for the slider to move, and glued it to my card base. I positioned the wizard and the shelf on my card, and for some added dimension I glued down the wizard using some foam squares. I placed the slider strip through the space I had left on the back of my card front (hope this makes sense), and used more foam squares to glue the cups to the strip.
Finally for the sentiment I thought it might be fun to create a parchment-like element, so I cut a rectangle around the Accio Coffee sentiment, rolled the edges, and sponged them with Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany to tie it in with the rest of the card.
And here’s a look at the card with the slider pulled all the way towards the little wizard! So fun!!!😍

And that’s it, that’s my card for today! I really hope you liked it and you liked this post!
Make sure to come back tomorrow on my blog and on Sunday, as I will be sharing more projects using stamps from the new release! In the meantime I wish you all a great day! Ciaoo!
