Pearlescent Distress Ink background feat Craftin Desert Divas Digital Stamps and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Hello everyone! Today I am back with a card for the July Mood Board Challenge over at the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery Facebook group. I love the colors and the feel of this month’s mood board, and I thought that the Soak Up the Sun digi was just perfect to go with it!!
So I printed it three times on some Canson XL watercolor paper and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images.

Using the two larger dies from the Craftin Desert Divas Crazy Stitched Frames set I created a frame from some more Canson XL watercolor cardstock.
For my background I used the same watercolor cardstock and I did some ink blending using my Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon. I then applied some Ranger Perfect Pearls to give the. background a pearlescent effect…the result is subtle, yet beautiful! When doing the ink blending I also made sure to only ink up the areas of my card base that are within the frame.
The sentiment comes from the same Soak Up The Sun digital stamp, and I cut a banner around it using one of the dies from the Craftin Desert Divas Flag Banners set.
I then adhered everything in place: I raised the frame and the sentiment using some fun foam, and I glued the images using some liquid glue. For a final touch I added some Nuvo Drops in Clear Glitter.
And that’s it for today’s card! I really hope you like it and enjoyed this post! And don’t forget that you still have time to enter this month’s mood board challenge to win some great prizes! I will be back soon with another fun project, and in the meantime I wish you all a fantastic day!
