Pastel Raibow with Spectrum Noir Markers – Shaker Card feat Craftin Desert Divas Play Time Stamp Set

Hello everyone! The new Craftin Desert Divas release is finally available for purchase, and I wanted to share some more inspiration using the super adorable Play Time stamp set. I think this and the Get Wild stamp set must be my favorite ones from this release – they are really cute and fun to work with! So, let’s have a look at how I created this card! πŸ™‚
To start off I colored the sweet image with the tea party scene using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used light, pastel colors because I wanted the card to have a soft look. The unicorn costume of the little girl in the image inspired me to add a rainbow to the card, and it thought it would look even more dreamy and whimsical if the rainbow was stemming from the girl itself – I was trying to convey the image of a magical world being created by the child’s imagination. To make my rainbow I used the Craftin Desert Divas Rainbow Die and I cut out some white heavyweight cardstock; I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in the rainbow and to add some shading to the cloud. I used LY1, LY2, LY3 for the yellow, LG1, LG2, LG3 and CG1 for the green, PL1, PL2, PL3 and PP1, PP2, PP3 for the pink and purple, and AB1, AB2 AB3 for the blue. I used the same colors to create a rainbow background on my A2 card base, and I also colored in a number of the smaller images in the set because I wanted to include them in my shaker.
I then used the largest from the newly released Craftin Desert Divas Inside Scalloped Rectangles to cut a frame for my shaker window, and I used my Spectrum Noir markers to add some color to it, so that it would tie in with the rest of the card. I coated it with some acetate and backed it with a double layer of Scotch foam tape. I used some tape runner to adhere the image of the little girl and the rainbow to the front of the shaker window.
For the base of my shaker panel I cut another sheet of white cardstock to the same size of my frame, and I adhered the small hearths and candy images to it in a random pattern. You could certainly directly stamp them on your shaker base, but when I started this card I had different plans, so that’s why I took the extra steps of stamping, cutting and then gluing down my images.
I also cut a rectangle around my sentiment using my Tonic Studios Guillotine Trimmer and used my Spectrum Noir Markers to add some color to it, so that it would match my shaker window frame. I then adhered it to my shaker base using some liquid glue.
I then took some seed beads and the Craftin Desert Divas Fairy Dust sequin mix, added them to the shaker base, and adhered the shaker window to it.
I used liquid glue to adhere my shaker to the card base, and as a finishing touch I added some sparkle to the rainbow, the cloud and the girl’s costume using my Spectrum Noir clear overlay pen.
And that’s it for today’s card! I really hope you like it and enjoyed this post, and I hope I inspired you to create with this adorable stamp set!
