Non Solo Natale con Impronte d’Autore

Ciao a tutti! E’ con immensa felicità che torno oggi sul blog per presentarvi due card realizzate in occasione della mia collaborazione con Impronte d’Autore! Si, proprio così! 😊 Non credo ci sia bisogno di dirvi quanto sia entusiasta ed emozionata per questa opportunità! E’ un privilegio enorme, per il quale sono infinitamente grata! Hi everyone! Today I am super thrilled to be back on the blog with two cards I made for my collaboration with Impronte d’Autore! Impronte d’Autore is one of the leading brands in the Italian stamping industry, and I am extremely excited for this opportunity! It is a privilege, for which I am very grateful. So today I want to start my post by saying thank you.



In questo post vi mostrerò come utilizzare timbri a tema natalizio per card che possono essere donate in ogni occasione. A tale proposito ho combinato i dolcissimi bimbi delle plate Natale Insieme e Tutti i Sogni ai meravigliosi sentiment stamps Le Cose Belle e Oggi è un Bel Giorno. 
Le immagini in queste plate si prestano benissimo anche a biglietti di compleanno, ma, per stavolta, ho voluto provare a creare delle card che andassero bene per qualsiasi evenienza; quelle che vi mostro oggi sarebbero perfette per incoraggiare una persona cara in un momento difficile, o anche solo per far sapere a qualcuno che lo stiamo pensando. A me, quando le guardo, viene il sorriso. 😊
In this post I will show you how to use Christmas themed stamps to design all-year-around cards. To that purpose I combined the adorable children images in the sets Natale Insieme (Christmas Together) and Tutti i Sogni  (All Dreams) with the gorgeous sentiments Oggi è un Bel Giorno and  Le Cose Belle. The sentiments respectively read “today is a good day to smile” and “good things happen to those who smile”. 
The stamp sets I used today would work well on birthday cards as well, but this time I wanted to try to create cards that would fit any occasion – these ones would be perfect to give to a loved one as an encouragement during a hard time, or simply to let them know that we are thinking about them. Personally, just by looking at them, I feel like smiling. 😊


Ma veniamo alla costruzione della card. 
Per iniziare ho timbrato le immagini su del cartoncino Neenah Solar White con il tampone Memento Tuxedo Black e le ho colorate con pennarelli Copic e Spectrum Noir. Le ho poi ritagliate con le forbici Cutterbee, lasciando un po’ di margine tutto intorno per riprodurre l’effetto del taglio con le fustelle. 

Mi sono poi dedicata agli sfondi. Per prima cosa ho timbrato i sentiment con il Versafine Onyx Black su del cartoncino da acquerelli Windsor and Newton Cotman. Li ho poi embossati con polvere clear. Ho aggiunto colore agli sfondi utilizzando la tecnica dell’ink smooshing coi Distress Ink; per ottenere maggiore contrasto ho scelto colori complementari a quelli utilizzati sulle immagini.
Per la card con la bimba, il cui vestito è verde, ho utilizzato Distress Ink in Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry e Worn Lipstick:

But let’s have a look at how I made this card.
As a first step I stamped my images on some Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and I colored them with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. I then fussy cut them using my Cutterbee scissors, leaving a white border all around, to mimic the effect of die cutting.
I then started working on my background. I stamped the sentiments on some Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then added color to the backgrounds using the ink smooshing technique with Distress Inks. I picked colors that are complementary to the ones I had used for my images, in order to achieve more contrast.
For the card with the baby girl, whose clother are green, I used Distress Inks in Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick:

Per la card con il bimbo, i cui vestiti ho colorato in tonalità di blu e grigio freddo, ho utilizzato Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin e Mustard Seed: 
On the card with the baby boy, whose clothes are colored in shades of blue and cool grey, I used  Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin e Mustard Seed: 

Per mettere in risalto il pannello frontale l’ho incorniciato con del cartoncino nero, creando un bordo sottile. Ho dato continuità al design sporcando la base della card con gli stessi Distress Ink utilizzati sugli sfondi con i sentiment e ho incollato tutti gli elementi tra di loro.
Poi ho guardato le card e ho sorriso. 😊

In order to make the front panel pop, I framed it with some black cardstock, leaving a thin border all around. I  added some splashes with Distress Inks on the card base, to give my design some continuity, and I adhered all the elements together. 
I then looked at the cards and smiled. 😊
