Storybook Card feat My Favorite Things Our Story

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I made for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #382 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes. The Simon Says Stamp blog is showcasing MFT products for this week’s Wednesday Challenge, so this was the perfect combination for today’s card.
I decided to use the My Favorite Things Our Story stamp set and I wanted to create a card with a soft and a slightly rustic look. So instead of stamping my images with black ink I used Memento ink in Toffee Crunch, which is a light brown ink. I then colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers using muted shades so that I would get a more of a subdued feel.

I cut some watercolor cardstock using one of the dies in the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-Namics set and did some ink smooshing with Distress Inks in Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.

For the top of my card and for the sentiment strip I used Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and Memento ink in Toffee Crunch to stamp the books and the sentiment, and to shade the egdes of the paper as well.
And that’s it for today! I have to say that I am really happy with how this card turned out. It’s soft and cozy, and I like how the different elements work with each other. And I hope you like it too 🙂
I will be back soon with another fun project, and in the meantime I wish you all a great day!
