Sugar Pea Designs Fall 2018 Sweet Peek Week - Day 4

Hi everyone, and welcome to day 4 of the Sweet Peek Week for the SugarPea Designs Fall 2018 release!

Today I am back to share two birthday cards I make with the Birthday Balloons stamp set and the Party Balloon Sugar Cut

This set is really fun and perfect for birthday and celebration cards, and can be used very easily for both masculine and feminine cards.

For my first card I stamped the solid image in the Birthday Balloons set on white cardstock using Memento Dew Drops in Teal Zeal, Pear Tart and Danube Blue. I used the Party Balloon die to die cut all my balloons.

For the card base I used one of the papers in the Sugar Pea Designs Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection. I cut some white cardstock with the stitched scalloped rectangle die in the Card Front Element Builder and decided how to arrange my balloons. I stamped the strings with black ink accordingly, and glued down the balloons.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on some black cardstock, and raised the sentiment strip on some foam tape.

As a last step, I added some white gel pen details to the balloons.

For the second card I followed the same exact steps but used more traditionally feminine colors.

For the balloons I used Memento Dew Drops in Elderberry, Lulu Lavender and Rose Bud, and for the card base I picked a pink polka dot paper from the Sugar Pea Designs Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection.
