Spooky Background with Nuvo Shimmer Powders feat C.C. Designs

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a spooky Halloween card I created with the new C.C. Designs Vampy Wishes. I really love this set, this guy is so fun, and perfect for more masculine or in any case less cutesy cards.

I started off by stamping the vampire and the bat on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored them with Spectrum Noir and Copic Markers. Once the coloring was complete, I die cut them with the coordinating dies and my Sizzix Sidekick machine.

For the card base I cut some black cardstock using the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames Dies. I messily did some ink blending with Distress Oxide in Wilted Violet and a Distress Blending Brush.

I used another die in the same set to cut some watercolor cardstock and I created a super spooky background using Tonic Studios Shimmer Powders in Stormy Sky and Violet Brocade. I sprinkled them on the cardstock, spritzed some water, and watched the magic happen!

In order to create a scene on the background I used the SugarPea SpookyScape dies to cut some black cardstock. I added some light color to it by blending Distress Oxide in Iced Spruce with my Distress Blending Brushes. I cut three bats out of black cardstock using the C.C. Designs Halloween Die, and I composed my scene.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and I raised the central panel over two layers of white cardstock that I had cut with the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames Dies, and that finished off my card.
