Heffy Doodle October Release + Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a post and two cards I created for the Heffy Doodle October Release Blog Hop! I am absolutely in love with this release, and I am really thrilled to be joining the hop with so many other talented crafters!

If you havenโ€™t yet, you can take a look at all the wonderful products that have been released this month by visiting this link!
And just a little FYI – there is an awesome promotion on the Heffy Doodle Store! If you place any order over 30ยฃ (before shipping and after discounts) you will receive a free dinky dinos stamp set! And if you spend over 45ยฃ you will get the dies too! Pretty nice, uh? ๐Ÿ™‚

But now letโ€™s have a look at the cards I created. For the first one I used images from the Veggie Patch stamp set, which is full of fun stamps and really great punny sentiments! I stamped them on Bristol Smooth Cardstock by Strathmore and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I then cut them all with the coordinating dies.

For the background of my card I cut some brown cardstock with two dies from the Heffy Doodle Clover Frames set. I used the super fun Basket Case stencil and Distress Oxide in Walnut stain to add a subtle pattern to it. To back my window frame I used some Lawn Fawn patterned paper.
For the sentiment I used one of the sayings in the Veggie Patch stamp set, and I stamped it on some vanilla cardstock with Distress Oxide in Walnut Stain. I then used the Stitched Strips of ease (such a great product) to cut a banner around it.

I then glued everything to a white top-folding A2 card base. I raised the sentiment strip and some of the veggies on foam tape, to create interest and dimension.  I also used two dies in the coordinating set to the Veggie Patch stamp set to cut a few hearts from red cardstock. I raised them on some foam tape and added some shimmer to them with my Clear Overlay Pen. I then used a white gel pen to add highlights to all the images.

And that’s card number one! For card number two I used the Dinky Dinos stamps and coordinating dies,  the Whatcha Saying Now stamps and coordinating dies, and the Happy Heffy Cuts from the new release. I also used the previously released Clover Frames Dies and Strips of Ease.
As a first step, I stamped the images from the Dinky Dinos set on some Bristol Smooth cardstock and I colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I used the Clover Frame Dies to cut some rainbow patterned paper by Lawn Fawn and some black cardstock. To back the window on the black panel I ink blended Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean on some more Bristol Smooth cardstock.
I then created a speech bubble using the Whatcha Saying now stamps and coordinating dies, and composed my little scene in the window of my black cardstock panel. To complete the sentiment I cut the word happy out of some mint cardstock using the Happy Heffy Cuts. I then stamped the word birthday from the Dinky Dinos stamp set with Distress Oxide in Cracked Pistachio on some white cardstock. I cut it into a thin strip using the Strips of Ease dies.
For some finishing touches I added white highlights with a gel pen and a few crystals by Studio Katia. And that finished card number two!

And now itโ€™s time for a giveaway! Heffy Doodle is giving away a 50ยฃ gift certificate to one lucky winner! What you need to do is to comment at each stop in the hop. Comments will close on October 31st, and the winner will be announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on November 1st.

I think I can say now – hopped so far – that veggies are my favorites! ๐Ÿ˜€ Great cards, thanks for sharing the inspirations! Beatrix Revhelyi, Lily

The rainbow dinos might be the happiest baby card I've ever seen. I love it! I'm all over the baby cards because I'm expecting a new niece or nephew any day now. And, of course, the veggies are such a great fall card with the bonus cuteness of Heffy Doodle! Thanks for sharing your cards with us.

The veggie's are so cute! Great use of colours. But my favourite is the baby birthday card, with the bright stripes of colour! And those awesome sayings to go with those cute images! I just love the stamp sets.
