Heat Embossing + Watercoloring - Thank You Card feat Studio Katia

Hi everyone! Today I am back to show you a card I created as part of the Studio Katia team for the November Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For today’s card I used the A Cup of Thanks stamp as a focal point, and for the background I used the Floral Trimmings set.

I heat embossed the main image with WOW! Gold Rich Embossing Powder and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used a waterbrush to blend the markers, and the watercolor paper I used is the Windsor and Newton Cotman Watercolor cardstock.

For the background I used the Floral Trimmings stamp set, which I heat embossed on the same watercolor cardstock using WOW! embossing powder in the color Oyster – a new favorite of mine! I used the Darling Ribbon and Dotted Frames dies to cut the panel to an A2 size. I used the same die set to cut out the central element, and I did some ink blending on the edges of both die cuts with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

For the sentiment I used the thanks die in the coordinating dies to the A Cup of Thanks set. I heat embossed a scrap piece of cardstock twice with the WOW! Rich Gold embossing powder, and die cut the sentiment. I also layered it on top of a second die cut, in order to create dimension.

I mounted everything on a top-folding A2 card base and that finished off my card!
