Friendship Card with C.C. Designs Monkeys

Hi everyone! It is time for another C.C. Designs release, and as always it is incredibly adorable! And it features patterned papers too!
I shared some inspiration with one of the stamp sets yesterday, and in the picture below you can have a look at all the products that came out with the February 2019 release. And remember that you can use code LAURV90 for 5% off your purchase, should you decide to get yourself a little something 😉

For today’s card I decided to use the super adorable Monkeys Clear Stamps. These monkeys are super cute and this set is great for masculine cards too! I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstok and colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers. I then die cut them with my Sizzix Sidekick machine and the Monkeys Outline Dies.

For the background of my card I die cut one of the papers in the Razzle Dazzle Paper Pad with the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitiched Rectangle Stackables.
I then used the In and Out Oval Metal Dies to cut one of the yellow papers in the Hearts and Dots paper pad as well as some Bristol Smooth cardstock.

For the sky I created a DIY stencil by die cutting some acetate with the cloud die in the Cloud and Grass Die. I brushed Distress Oxides in Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass over my Bristol Smooth cardstock die cut and created a cloudy sky.

I then die cut one of the green papers in the Hearts and Dots paper pad with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables first, and then with the Cloud and Grass. This way I created a grassy hillside with a stitched detail all on its sides and bottom.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder over some brown cardstock and die cut it with the Heffy Doodle Strips of Ease. I mounted everything on a top-folding A2 card base and that finished off my card.
