Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Rainbow – Concord & 9th Peek Through Pattern Stamps and Dies

Clean and Simple Friendship Card for Beginners
Hi everyone! Today I am back with two colorful clean and simple cards and my third post for  the February 2019 Concord & 9th Feature Friday. The products I used for this projects are part of the February 2019 release by Concord and 9th, and are the Peek Through Pattern stamps and dies. These are available for purchase individually or as a bundle on the Concord & 9th store.

The cards that I am sharing today are quick and easy to create, and great for beginners too.
For card number one I started by taking a Neenah Solar White A2 card base and creating a rainbow with Distress Inks on the lower third. I used Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers.

I then used the friend die in the Peek Through Patterns die set to die cut an A2 Neenah Solar White card front. I positioned the die cut on the lower third of the panel, so that I could glue it on my card base with the Distress Ink Rainbow showing through.

I cut the same friend Peek Through Pattern from some black cardstock and I layered it under my white card front, shifting it a little to create a drop shadow effect. I glued both on the card base and stamped the sentiment with Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Black Ink. I used some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew to add some subtle embellishments and that finished off my card.

For the second card I used one of the stripey patterns in the Peek Through stamp set and Distress Oxides to create a stamped rainbow on a Neenah Solar White A2 card front. Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers.

I then used a Ranger Distress Blending brush and inked up the edges of the panel. For each stamped section I blended the corresponding Distress Oxide. This created a soft look on the edges of my card front.
Next I used the smile die in the Peek Through Pattern dies and die cut the lower third of my stamped panel. I also used the same die to cut some white cardstock. I trimmed off each letter and layered them on mu card front.

I backed the opening left by the die with some black cardstock and mounted everything on an A2 card base. I embellished the card with some Nuvo Drops in Snow Blizzard, and that finished off card number two.
