Nuvo Mousse and Distress Ink Background – C.C. Designs Hippo Birdie Two Ewe – Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Today I am back with a card I created for day 3 of the C.C. Designs Release Preview week! This post is part of a blog hop with giveaways, so stay tuned for more details!
The stamp set I used today is the new Hippo Birdie Two Ewe – this will be available for purchase on the C.C. Designs store on April 4th. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
For the background I did some ink blending with Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick. I added some water droplets and also used the new stencil and Nuvo Mousse in Lemon Sorbet to create some shimmery texture.

For the grassy border I used the Cloud and Grass Die and Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive. I added some water droplets to the border as well, for an extra fun touch.
I then die cute a frame out of some white cardstock using the C.C. Design Quad Collage Die. I added color and texture by swiping my Distress Ink Pads directly on the paper. I used Hickory Smoke, Weathered Wood and Iced Spruce.

I raised the frame, the critters and the grassy border on one layer of foam tape and added a few Razzle Dazzle Clear Enamel Dots on the background.

I used a banner die in the Quad Collage stamp set to cut a banner around my sentiment and I glued it to the front of the card using one layer of foam tape.

And that’s my card for today! As I mentioned, this post is part of a blog hop with giveaways! For a chance to win the entire C.C. Designs release, comment on this post as well as on the other DT members’ posts. Then, head over to the C.C. Designs blog and let them know you commented on all the posts in the hop! Good luck!

Super cute, very adorable animals. I have not used Nuvo mousse much yet but this is such a great example of how I could get it to look if I try harder. Thank you for showing me this idea x
